Food truck identity system
relating to a food memory
One of my fondest food memories growing up was school tuckshop. To me, tuckshop was the vessel of teamwork and a sense of community. I still remember the excitement I felt when it was my mum’s turn to work as a parent volunteer. It is this special connection to my mother which helped me to come up with the name Lunch Daughter. The name, whilst holding a sentimental connection to my mum, also presents itself as a play on words made to sound like ‘lunch order’.
With this sense of nostalgia in mind, my tuckshop-inspired food truck aims to make use of rustic, old school features that align with the theme of memories. The truck, which serves cafeteria-style fast food in organic, retro packaging such as paper bags and boxes, commits to the tuckshop theme through the use of materials like brick, corregated iron and chalkboard. When paired with the two logos that feauture the face of my mum, it is these design characteristics which ultimately help to form the basis of this eclectic food truck.
